HEAVEN COME DOWN is a live collaborative performance by Jamel Robinson and Jerron Herman, presented during Robinson’s A Love Worth Fighting For solo exhibition at the Sugar Hill Children’s Museum of Art & Storytelling. Choreographed and performed by Herman, the work unfolded in front of a silent projection of the Punch-Drunk Love film as Robinson performed the film’s soundtrack live, bringing body, sound, and moving image into direct conversation with their audience.
During the 2025 Cullen+Them Gala, Jamel Robinson performed a collaborative movement piece with Hannah Cullen and 8-year-old Nia Joseph-Donnelly. Developed by Hannah and Nia in response to Jamel’s original composition and his Circle of Love paintings, the performance translated sound and image into movement and culminated in the three artists initiating a participatory installation later completed by gala attendees.
